Holidays 08

Merry Christmas!

Well this is our first Christmas married and we are having a really great time! For Thanksgiving we got to go to Riverside and spend it with the Stoddard side of the family and we are hours away from flying to Michigan for Christmas. I think we have a pretty good chance of having a white Christmas, that is unless global warming really does kick in before then (doubtful). While in So Cal we had the best Thansgiving dinner, ever! We all pitched in and somehow it magically appeared on the table.
Then we enjoyed The Happiest Place on Earth with one of our best friends, Becky. Life is pretty good!

We love you and miss you, wherever you are!

Our New Central Californian Home

Well we have been in Watsonville, CA for a semester now and we are really enjoying it! This truly is the perfect place for us in this moment of our lives. We are working at Monte Vista Christian School with their resident students, that are nearly all international! It has been such great fun learning about their cultures and who they are as individuals. It is an eye opening experience and a constant remind that we are incapable but God is capable and will use us for his glory! We will focus on getting some pictures for you all to see where we are and what we are doing! But for now here are a few pictures of our apartment. So come visit us!!!!

Apple Tree Falls Camping Trip

So...spur the moment at 11:00pm we decided to test out our camping gear and travel to Apple Orchard Falls.....we camped and then in the morning we took on the falls. The hike is great on the way down but coming back up was strenuous....but we did feel pretty accomplished when we finished!!! Here are some great pictures from the hike and the camp.

SO WE ARE FINALLY GRADUATED!

We did it. We completed our undergraduate degrees and maybe the last classes we will ever take! Who knows if grad school is in our future...for now we don't even want to consider it. We decided not to walk at graduation because we didn't want family to have to make the couple thousand mile trip four months after they already made it. But we went and watched it. Here are a few great pictures of our friends and us at this year's Liberty University commencment. (Yes Chuck Norris did speak, and afterwards he did not roundhouse kick anyone!)

here is Chuck Norris' Speech

Aviation graduation is SO COOL...and totally Top Gun!

Weekend Madness

Life is busy as we wrap up school. Weekends are even busier as soon all of us Liberty kids will all be parting ways. It is a little sad when you say "see you soon" to some people and realize that school is coming to a close and we may be leaving soon. So we are trying to make the most of every opprotunity, of every day.

Here is us enjoying the Lynchburg Hillcats Season Opener

Dominc and the boys

Our friends came over to make us Matt's famous brownies...he is South African so they were made form scratch and pretty amazing and needless to say did not last long!

Valentines Day (or the saturday after)

Here is a shot from the Saturday extravaganza also known as our Valentines Day in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. We left on our adventure at about 12:30 after a wonderful lunch at the house. We then proceeded to head straight to the Nasher Art Museum located on the University of Duke's campus. After our time here we went to PF Chang's for some great Chinese cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere. Oh and before that we went to REI, believe it or not we spent most of the money on Bekah (boy do I have a keeper). After dinner we were going to go to the cheesecake factory, but got lucky and got in at the Melting Pot for our first experience of some great fondue. We then headed home exhausted and stuffed after a long beautiful first Valentines Day!!!!
