When we began this blog we envisioned it to be a way to document our lives; to look back on our own family timeline and to have a tangible way to share with our family and friends far away. To remember this day, I document. And now I am regretting not documenting the day my grandfather left us.

This morning our friend passed from this life to the next. We are blessed to have been called his friends and are thankful that God planned for us to share a many laughter filled memories together.

Lucas, thank you for your love and care. Someday we will see you in eternity, where Declan will have the chance to meet you. Please will you teach him all about music? Because we sure won't be able to. 

2 Months Old!

 ...and for his 2 month birthday Declan unveiled his newest 'trick', he still hasn't selected a finger to suck, so just sucks his whole fist...he may cry when he losses it, but he has also figured out how to get it back where he wants it. Oh the great accomplishments of babies!

A Green Diaper that is!

Today we began our adventure into the world of cloth diapering.
We have zero expectations for this undertaking, whether it will be a permanent change, an occasional one, a future one, or maybe something that won't work for us at all.

We are three diaper changes down and still feeling great and excited and are rather impressed by the diapers. I didn't even think the first diaper was even wet until I felt how much it weighed.

But, our experience has been limited to only the land of pee pee, we are waiting to be surprised with what we affectionately call "poop soup" to see what we really think.

I promise not to share too much about excrement.
