I have banned the use of harsh chemicals in our home, PLEASE see previous posting. Here are some great recipes that I use in our home and that I find at least as effective as the store bought chemical ones I used to use!
Bonus: They are WAY cheaper than anything you can buy

Start by stocking your cleaning cabinet.
You will need:
                                                                             Borax           Castile Soap
                                                                 Lemon Juice           Corn Starch
                                                                 Baking Soda           Vinegar
                                                                  Empty Spray (squirt) Bottles
Optional: Essential Oils of Choice for Fragrance and Individual disinfectant properties
(worth the extra cost and a small bottle lasts forever)
I purchase mine at Mountain Rose Herbs and always keep Orange, Eucalyptus, and Tea Tree on Hand.
